Why I hate Black Friday
When it comes to Black Friday, Americans become heartless, greedy drones. Why do people feel the need to stand outside in the cold for days to be able to buy something that may not even be offered at a good deal? People like to push, shove, run-over other people just so they can get “stuff”. No wonder a lot of other countries hate America. While other people are starving, homeless, poor, and ill, other people are fighting over toys and objects like little children with a “me” complex.
For shit’s sake people, “stuff” is not what Christmas is about. Even if you are not a Christian, Christmas is about being with family and friends. It’s about spending time with loved ones and showing compassion and celebrating life. It’s not about finding cheap gifts, it’s not about getting that new toy for your kid at all costs. In our culture, Black Friday has become synonymous Thanksgiving and has cheapened the meaning of Thanksgiving.
Shame on all you mindless drones standing in the cold for days just for Friday. Shame on all you greedy meatsacks waking up in the early morning hours to buy stuff. Shame on all you “haves” for thinking nothing but yourselves. Shame on all you people for proving corporate America right and letting corporations dictate your actions.
Enjoy the holidays!
